Do you live out in the country and can’t get high speed Internet access? Many of us take cable and DSL forgranted. In fact there is over ten percent of the U.S. population that simply can’t get high speed Internet service.

It is estimated that it would cost billions to set up cable or DSL service throughout the country. There are many false hopes that cable or DSL is coming, but when? Sad but true, it all comes down to economics, too may miles with not enough subscribers. To a lot of people satellite Internet service offers the answer. Satellite Internet service enables almost everyone to have access to blazing fast broadband Internet access. There are two kinds of Satellite Internet access, “two way” and “one way” systems.

Two way satellite systems send and receive information from your satellite dish over the Internet and delivers it your computer. The biggest benefit of a two way setup is that you’re able to receive high speed Internet access without tying up your phone line. Two way satellite Internet service also gives you an always on system. Browsing and download speeds can be as high as 1.5mpbs with upload speed about 128kbps.

A dial up Internet connection is needed for upload page requests and offers similar download speeds of 256kbps to 1.5mbps. One way satellite Internet access is more reliable and cost effective than two-way satellite Internet systems. One way satellite Internet is faster and more depedable because it doesn’t experience the same time-out delays caused by “two-way” approach of uploading requests to the satellite. Satellites were designed to send and not receive information from small LNB on a dish. You are utilizing the satellite’s strength by using it for downloading. As you aware, when you are using a dialup Internet access, your waiting time is dependent on downloading the information over your telephone line. Satellite Internet service, as it is intended to download only, eliminates the problem.

If you are uploading a great deal of information then a two way satellite system may be the best option for you. On the other hand, for the average to medium Internet surfers, one way satellite Internet service offers high speed that is dependable and much more affordable than two way systems. Due to its simplicity and reliability, one way satellite Internet service is not regulated by the FCC. This gives you the choice of professional or self installation.

Satellite Internet service allows virtually everyone, anywhere to have access to lightning-fast broadband Internet access. Learn the difference between one way and two way satellite internet access to help to get the right system for your rural Internet needs. Put an end to your slow Internet access. Satellite Internet access may very well be the answer that you were looking for.
