How To Achieve High Rankings For Your Website

In this article I will be writing and providing free tips as to the best way to promote a website.

I do not think that it is all that difficult in truth. The first thing to ensure is that your website is designed to a high standard and that it is optimised for SEO purposes for the sites main key phrases. It is then a case of obtaining links pointing to it. It is essential that you use a variety of key phrases for these links. For example if the keyword is stuttering the link text could be, stuttering therapy, stuttering info, stuttering treatment, stop stuttering or stuttering advice. For a door company it could be composite doors, upvc doors or front doors and for copywriting it could befreelance copywriter.

There are two types of backward link, reciprocal and non reciprocal (one way links). A lot of people make the fatal error of obtaining many reciprocal links but hardly any or even none, one way links. This is not a good idea and it is not exactly the best form of link building, you may well even be penalised by the search engines for this.

Reciprocal links

It is very natural for a website to have many reciprocal links as long as they also have lots of one way links. This can be a very slow and painful process plus rather frustrating. A link building service can be of benefit here.

One way links

Where possible it is of far greater benefit to obtain a one way link. Some people choose to purchase a link on a high ranking page of a website as it can be rather difficult to persuade a webmaster to include your link for no reason or benefit to them.

Other webmasters are free to include this content on their blogs and sites as long as they keep the links to your websites intact.

Building Up A Network Of Website Promotion Contacts

Would you like to ditch the day job and to earn your fortune online? Are you looking for a person or company to build you a website? Are you looking into ways to promote your website? Would you like to see a big increase in traffic to your website? These are all questions to which a couple of years ago I would have answered yes to. I now have built up a network of people who I always use to help me in these particular fields.

I personally believe that is in an essential component of website development is to create a network of contacts, people who specialise on certain aspects of the net. As an example a contact of mine now builds me a type of information portal website for £150 plus free hosting. I have been working with this contact now for a number of years and he is extremely reliable and he has taught me a lot about how the web works etc.

I have also met other contacts such as a local UK link building service consultant. I have learnt a lot from these people and would now like to think of myself as some kind of expert. I now think that I know quite a lot about how to promote and a market a website. I have around eighty sites myself, which I constantly attempt to attract more visitors to each of them.

Whatever your business, whether it is to do with being an SEO specialist or a financial adviser, it is essential that you try to obtain as my visitors to your website as possible.

The way I attract this additional traffic is by attempting to build up the amount of one-way backward links to each site. One way of doing this of course is by writing articles like the one you are reading. Summing up, ensure that you do not become a number victim of the “internet sharks” or the “internet scammers” as some people call them. There are many webmasters who are looking into ways to increase traffic and on how to obtain a higher page rank for their sites. I myself have many websites which I am always looking to promote.

Whatever the subject of your website it is important to attract as many visitors as you can.

Pay per click is where you agree to pay a certain amount of money when people click on an advert that you have created. Programs such as adwords from the search engine Google allow you to place an advert on the right hand side of their search results. Which position you are placed in depends on how much you are willing to spend per click, it is like a kind of auction. As with all forms of advertising you need to be watchful of how much money you spend in comparison to how much you earn. This can be very popular especially if your website is fairly new and is low down in the natural search results.

Writing articles to gain one way backlinks

I believe that the best form of website promotion is by writing articles like the one you are reading. People reading the articles are potential visitors to your website, as you are able to include a link to your website in the article. When a webmaster decides to include the article on their website it means that you gain a backward link via the author bio box which is placed towards the end of the article. Google are more likely to increase your page rank if you have a large number of backward links, especially one way links. If you do not have the time to write your own articles you could outsource the task to a web marketing company.

Link exchange program

As I have just stated, it is vitally important to spend time building up the number of backward links your website has. Joining a link exchange program can seriously reduce your workload, and people have told me that linkmetro is quite good. Their are other forms of link building services that I prefer however.

The alternative is to use a software such as SEO powersuite which is known to be quite beneficial. Whichever form of link building service you choose please beware that you will need to be patient as Rome was not build in a day!
